    Bird Photography Exhibition “The Wings of Dehradun”

    On the occasion of World Migratory Bird Day, Sunrise Academy proudly organized a one-day bird photography exhibition titled “The Wings of Dehradun” on 9th May 2026, where students were provided with a wonderful opportunity to observe, appreciate and explored the hidden, unique and colorful world of birds and wildlife through a captivating display of rare and beautiful photographs.

    The exhibition featured the outstanding work of renowned wildlife photographer Raju Pushola, who showcased the magnificent avian beauty of Uttarakhand through his lens.

    The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Manoj Jha, State Editor of Dainik Jagran. Addressing the students, he emphasized the importance of becoming more sensitive towards nature conservation. He encouraged students to bring positive changes to their daily routines and nurture their hidden talents.

    During the exhibition, Raju Pushola interacted with the students and shared valuable information about different species of birds, their behavior, and their role in maintaining ecological balance. He highlighted that even small efforts can contribute significantly to bird conservation and urged students to stay aware and responsible towards the environment.

    The event was also graced by Devendra Sati, warmly welcomed for his dedication towards journalism and documenting the pulse of society with accuracy and commitment, and renowned photographer Amit Uniyal, whose extraordinary work has been featured on History TV18, National Geographic, and Discovery, as Guests of Honour.

    The Managing Director of the school, Pooja Pokhariyal, stated that the school considers nature conservation an important social responsibility. Principal Nitu Tomar shared that such events help students understand the importance of their role in protecting the environment and spreading awareness.

    Administrative Officer Monika Sharma and Coordinator Pratibha Khatri were also present on the occasion. The programme was conducted by Aditi Rana.

    The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks to all the honoured guests, the school management, teachers, and students for making the exhibition a grand success. The exhibition not only displayed stunning photographs but also encouraged students to develop sensitivity towards nature, art, and environmental conservation.
