    Celebration of Birth Anniversary of Sumitranandan Pant

    On the occasion of the birth anniversary of renowned Hindi poet Sumitranandan Pant, a grand National Seminar and literary celebration was organized at Lekhak Gaon on 23rd May 2026. The programme was a heartfelt tribute to the legendary poet whose literary works continue to inspire generations.

    The event commenced with a delightful Bal Kavi Goshti (Children’s Poetry Meet), where young poets beautifully recited poems and brought Pant Ji’s literary creations to life through their innocent and expressive voices. This was followed by a National Seminar and a memorable Kavi Sammelan based on the poems and philosophy of Pant Ji. Eminent poets from Dehradun participated in the event and enriched the literary atmosphere with their inspiring poetry recitations.

    A special highlight of the programme was the gracious presence of renowned poet, author, storyteller, and motivational speaker Dr. Kumar Vishwas as the Chief Guest. His sudden arrival infused new energy and enthusiasm into the event, making the atmosphere vibrant with literary passion and admiration for Hindi Literature.

    The programme was conducted under the (Chairmanship) of Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ ji, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and former Union Minister of Human Resource Development and under the guidance of Mrs. Vidushi Nishank Ji, Director Lekhak Gaon. Distinguished guests included Padma Shri awardee Kalyan Singh Maitee and Mrs. Mayawati Dhakriyal Ji, Director of the Language Institute. Professor Poonam Pathak, Head of the Sanskrit Department, LMS Rishikesh Campus, also graced the Bal Kavi Goshti as a special guest and added dignity to the occasion.

    The event was coordinated by Pooja Pokhriyal Ma’am, Managing Director, Sunrise Academy. Dr. Sarvesh Uniyal Sir, and Monika Sharma Administrative Officer, Sunrise Academy. The concluding session became even more captivating when prominent poets from Dehradun recited the poems of Pant Ji and filled the programme with literary charm once again, with valuable support from Dr. Bharti Mishra Ma’am.

    At the beginning of the programme, students of Sunrise Academy presented the patriotic composition “Jai Jan Bharat Janman Abhimat,” written by Sumitranandan Pant Ji, under the guidance of Jaswinder Singh Sir.

    The fragrance of Sumitranandan Pant Ji’s poetry seemed to linger in the atmosphere throughout the event, making it a truly memorable literary celebration.
