Community service plays a vital role in sensitising the students/children right from their childhood. Most of our school students are the privileged ones, having access to get their needs fulfilled without even anticipating it. On the contrast, there exists another community where even basic needs of the people including children are seldom met on daily basis. Community services provides an opportunity for the privileged ones to empathise with these children, understand the harsh realities of life and hereby, intermingle with them, help them and most importantly, treat them with respect and dignity.School students can actively participate in community services by means of Direct interaction with the underprivileged children as well as through reaching out to them in the field. Today at Sunrise Academy, Students and teachers got a chance to cherish the community service and feel more and contented by bringing smiles and happiness to the children who are not so privileged like them.A community service work can be an eye-opening, meaningful experience for just about anyone, it can be especially valuable for high school students as it cultivates several essential life skills, like teamwork, empathy, and compassion. Students donated eatables, stationary and clothes. The school management distributed flour, cereals, pulses, books and stationary. School management also put the dustbins in the area to keep the surrounding clean. We are thankful for their contribution and their presence during the distribution.
