Sunrise Academy enthusiastically participated in the English Debate Competition organized by Shigally Hill International Academy on 26th April 2025. The topic for the debate was “In order to prioritise one’s own nation, it is perfectly fine to destroy the economies of other nations.”
Arav Thakur of Class X Science spoke for the motion, while Nawakshi Alhedia of Class X Science spoke against the motion. Shivendra Prakash Naithani of Class X Science represented Sunrise Academy during the rebuttal round, showcasing strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
Sunrise Academy secured the Second Position overall among all participating schools. Additionally, Nawakshi Alhedia achieved Third Position individually in the “Against the Motion” category.
The students were trained and mentored by their dedicated teachers, Ms. Diya Tripathi and Ms. Monica Chand. Their efforts greatly contributed to the excellent performance of the team.
The competition proved to be a valuable learning experience for the students, helping them sharpen their debating and public speaking skills.
