On 15th July 2025, a vibrant cultural event was organized at Lekhak Gaon to celebrate the birthday of Hon’ble Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ Ji – renowned author, poet, Patron of Writer’s Village and former Union Education Minister. The program was marked with a blend of spirituality, culture, and environmental consciousness.
The event commenced with a soulful prayer dance, invoking a divine atmosphere, followed by a melodious choir performance by students. Poetry recitations, dedicated to literature, nature, and the inspiring life of Dr. Nishank Ji, were presented by students from various schools, showcasing their literary talent.
Adding to the significance of the day, a plantation drive was conducted to celebrate Harela, the festival of greenery and environment, symbolizing a commitment towards a greener future. All dignitaries and students enthusiastically participated in the plantation activity.
