Sunrise Academy celebrated Himalaya Divas on 9th September 2025 with great enthusiasm and respect for the Himalayan range, which plays a vital role in our environment and culture.
The day began with a special assembly which was conducted by students of Classes VI to VIII, where students highlighted the significance of the Himalayas in protecting biodiversity. A quiz related to the Himalayas was conducted to enhance students’ knowledge about the geographical, cultural, and ecological importance of this majestic mountain range. Students enthusiastically answered questions and showed great interest in learning more.
A poem on the Himalayas was recited by one of the students, expressing admiration for the mountains’ beauty, strength, and spiritual importance. Following the poem, a pledge was taken by all the students and teachers, promising to protect nature and work towards conserving the Himalayas.
The program concluded with an explanation by a teacher, who elaborated on how the Himalayas influence weather patterns, conserve biodiversity, and contribute to human well-being.
The event was a meaningful celebration that not only increased awareness about the Himalayas but also motivated students to appreciate and safeguard the natural world.
