Hindi Diwas
Sunrise Academy celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm on 14th September 2026 to honour the richness, beauty, and significance of the Hindi language.
The programme commenced with a special presentation by the students of Classes VI and VIII, who presented a meaningful act highlighting the importance of Hindi. Through their performance, the students beautifully conveyed the message that every अक्षर (letter) of Hindi has its own significance and identity.
Adding to the literary charm of the celebration, Saavi Sharma of Class I recited the poem “कृष्ण चेतावनी”, based on an episode from the Mahabharata, written by the renowned Hindi poet Ramdhari Singh ‘Dinkar’. Her confident and expressive recitation was appreciated by everyone.
Following the presentation, the HOD of the Hindi Department Ma’am Monika Sharma addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of Hindi in our lives. She also shared an inspiring incident related to Swami Vivekananda, highlighting the value of language, culture, and effective communication.
As part of the celebration, a Hindi Essay Writing Competition was also organised for the students of Classes VI to XII, providing them with an opportunity to express their thoughts creatively in Hindi and develop their writing skills.
The celebration was an enriching experience that encouraged students to take pride in Hindi, our rich linguistic and cultural heritage, and understand its relevance in today’s world.
