Students of Sunrise Academy participated in the Late Shrimati Hemlata Verma Memorial Junior U-17 Girls / Boys and Under-14 Boys Chess Tournament 2025, organized by The Himalayan Public School, Dehradun, on 9th October 2025. The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from several reputed schools across the city.
In the Under-17 category,
Hanshika Chauhan of Class X and Sujal Singh of Class XII represented the school and displayed excellent skill and focus throughout the matches.
In the Under-14 Boys category,
Ojas Bisht of Class VII made the school proud by securing the 3rd position, as per the official results declared by the organizers.
The Principal congratulated and encouraged all the participants to continue their pursuit of excellence in upcoming tournaments.
