On 7th April 2025, a very important and engaging session was conducted in the Drona Auditorium of Sunrise Academy. The topic under discussion was “One Nation, One Election”. This session held special significance for the senior-most Sunrisers, as they are soon to become voters and active participants in shaping the future of the nation.
The session focused on the concept of conducting simultaneous elections across the country, a proposal that could be a game changer in the context of the Indian political system. A thorough discussion was held regarding the advantages of this idea, such as reduced election costs, consistent governance, and improved policy implementation.
The spokespeople for the session were Ms. Ruchi Bhatt, Vice-president, Mahila Morcha(BJP), Uttarakhand , Ms. Vidushi Nishank, chairperson of Sunrise Academy and Mr. Aryan Dev Uniyal, Practising as an advocate at the supreme court of india & nainital high court (various tribunals across the country)
Also active in the social field affiliated with the Bjp party Currently nominated as the
State Co-Convenor (Legal) Youth Wing, (Yuva Morcha ) BJP, shared valuable insights and encouraged students to think critically about their role in a democratic setup. The session was both enlightening and thought-provoking, leaving the students better informed and more aware of their responsibilities as future voters.
