On the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India and Bharat Ratna awardee Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji, a grand poetry recitation programme titled “Atal Vichar: Nayi Peedhi Ki Awaaz” was organised on 23rd December 2025 at Lekhak Gaon. The event turned into a vibrant festival celebrating literature, culture, and nationalism. It was not only a heartfelt tribute to the revered leader and poet but also a powerful medium to instil patriotic and nationalist values among the youth.
The Chief Guest of the programme was Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ Ji, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and former Union Minister of Human Resource Development. In his inspiring address, he appreciated the poetic talent and confidence of the young participants and highlighted the timeless relevance of Atal Ji’s thoughts and ideals in today’s society.
A total of 51 students from eight schools, including Sunrise Academy, participated in the programme. The children recited some of the most renowned poems written by Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji. Their expressive recitations, clarity of thought, and emotional depth captivated the audience and left a lasting impression on everyone present.
The prestigious event was further enriched by the presence of renowned writers, poets, educationists, and eminent personalities from various fields, who collectively encouraged the young generation to connect with literature and uphold the values of unity, democracy, and national pride.
