On 22nd August 2025, the students of Sunrise Academy had the opportunity to attend an insightful seminar organized at Doon Library & Research Centre in collaboration with the SPECS organization. The topic of the seminar was “Sudden Flood in Dharali – Another Name in the List of Disasters”, presented by Dr. Dinesh Sati.
The seminar focused on the recent flash flood that struck Dharali and analyzed it as a part of the larger pattern of natural disasters affecting the region. Dr. Sati explained the causes, impact, and preventive measures related to such calamities. The session highlighted the importance of awareness, preparedness, and collective responsibility in dealing with natural disasters.
The program proved to be highly educational, enhancing the students’ understanding of environmental challenges and disaster management.
