A colourful and traditional Teej celebration was organized at Sunrise Academy on 26th July 2025. The Chief Guest of the event was Mrs. Geeta Dhami, wife of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami. The programme was further graced by Special Guests – Mrs. Sadhana Sharma, President of the Uttaranchal Mahila Association, along with Mrs. Tanu Uniyal and Mrs. Sushma M. Magai, who added charm to the celebration with their presence.
The event began with a traditional Shiv Stuti (prayer to Lord Shiva), followed by a series of vibrant dance performances, entertaining games, and cultural presentations organized by the Sunrise Academy Management Society.
The celebration was attended by Mrs. Vidushi Nishank, Chairperson of Sunrise Academy; Mr. Aryan Uniyal, Lawyer and state coordinator of BJYM legal cell and Mrs. Pooja Pokhriyal, Director of Management; Mrs. Nitu Tomar, Principal of Sunrise Academy; Mrs. Poonam Sharma, Principal of the B.Ed. College; Mrs. Apeksha Rawat, Principal of the D. Pharma College; and the entire teaching and non-teaching staff.
The stage was eloquently compered by Mrs. Monika Sharma and Mrs. Savita Pokhriyal.
A variety of awards were distributed during the event, including titles such as Teej Queen, Best Attire, and Best Hairstyle, making the occasion even more engaging and memorable. Adding to the traditional charm, mehendi (henna) was also applied to all the staff members by the management team.
The Hariyali Teej festival was celebrated in a joyful and culturally rich manner. Mrs. Geeta Dhami appreciated and praised the efforts and grandeur of the event wholeheartedly.
