The Millet Festival was held on 5th April 2025 at Hotel Sterling Marbella, celebrating the versatility and health benefits of millets. The event saw enthusiastic participation from various schools across the region. Among the participants, Sunrise Academy stood out with their vibrant presence and culinary skills, securing the 3rd Prize in the competition.
The team from Sunrise Academy included talented students Afsha Parveen, Rishika Bhatt , Mehreen, and Diya Bisht, who were guided and mentored by their teacher Mrs. Anchal Ramola. The competition was judged by a panel of esteemed chefs, culinary experts, food bloggers, and entrepreneurs, who evaluated the dishes based on creativity, taste, presentation, and nutritional value.

Among the dishes, Afsha Parveen received special recognition and was awarded the 3rd Prize for her outstanding preparation of Barnyard Upma, which impressed the judges with its flavor and innovation.
The event not only promoted healthy eating habits but also gave students a platform to showcase their culinary talent and creativity through the use of traditional grains like millets.
